Year 3 Class Teacher - Bournemouth, Dorset

Are you ready to lead a KS2 classroom with energy, creativity?

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a full-time Year 3 Class Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced mainstream primary school located in Bournemouth. This opportunity is ideal for both Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners looking to make a meaningful impact in Key Stage 2. The role begins in September 2025, with interviews set to take place over the coming weeks. A school tour will be offered to shortlisted candidates before a formal interview.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons for a Year 3 class.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high standards of learning and behaviour.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to track pupil progress and inform teaching.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with SEND or EAL.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support whole-child development.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through collaboration, planning, and enrichment activities.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3 (placements accepted for ECTs).
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team. 
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via GSL).
