Job Title: ECT Primary Teacher
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £150–£230 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a dedicated ECT Primary Teacher to join a primary school in Rotherham starting this September 2025. This role is ideal for a passionate teacher who is ready to inspire young learners and build strong foundations in the classroom.

Position Summary:

As an ECT Primary Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons to students in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. You will be supported by experienced staff who will help guide you through your induction period and provide professional development opportunities. This is a fantastic chance to grow in a nurturing setting where your ideas, creativity, and energy are valued.

Your Responsibilities as an Early Career Teacher (ECT)—Primary:

  • Plan and teach lessons that follow the national curriculum.
  • Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Use assessments to track progress and guide next steps in learning.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom where all students feel valued.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, staff, and families to support pupil success.
  • Take part in training, staff meetings, and wider school activities.

Role Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Willingness to learn, reflect, and develop through CPD.
  • Ability to adapt to different school settings and student needs.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
  • Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
