Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £86-£100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join a nurturing early years setting in Rotherham. This is a wonderful opportunity to help young children learn important skills through play and everyday activities in a safe and welcoming environment.

As an Early Years Practitioner (EYP), you will support the daily routines and learning activities that help children grow in confidence and independence. You will play an important role in encouraging children to explore, develop new skills, and build strong relationships with others in a safe and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children’s learning through play and planned activities that develop key skills
  • Help observe, record, and assess children’s development to inform individual learning plans
  • Provide one-to-one support to children who require extra help or have specific needs
  • Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction within the group
  • Assist with daily routines such as feeding, and rest periods, ensuring children’s comfort
  • Build positive partnerships with parents, carers, and team members to support children’s well-being.
  • Ensure compliance with all safeguarding and health and safety policies

Candidate Requirement:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years is mandatory.
  • Experience of working with children in an early years or childcare setting is desirable
  • Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development stages
  • Patient, friendly, and caring with the ability to build trusting relationships with children
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong awareness of safeguarding responsibilities and child protection procedures

  • Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
