Full-Time Teaching Assistant Wanted for SEN Schools in Southsea – Starting September 2025!
A lovely school in Southsea is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children focusing on both 1:1 and small group work. You’ll be supporting a wide range of learning needs including Autism, Social, Emotional, Mental Health, children with limited speech and children with sensory and/ or physical needs. What’s most important is these children are supported by someone caring, nurturing and attentive to their needs.
As some of these pupils are vulnerable and have additional needs, you’ll be working with the teacher to achieve the best possible outcomes for the children and their learning. You must therefore be a highly motivated and nurturing teaching assistant with a flexible approach and be able to work in both 1:1 and group settings.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism, SEMH, or other additional needs (or a strong desire to learn).
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- A proactive and reflective approach to classroom support.
- Passion for inclusive education and a drive to see every child succeed.

- Pay: £13.80 – £15 per hour
- Start Date: ASAP/ September 2025
