Full-Time English Teacher – Secondary School in Fareham, Hampshire
GSL Education are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Fareham, Hampshire. This full-time position is set to commence in September 2025. The school welcomes applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators.
Responsibilities of an English Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking English lessons that develop students’ literacy, analytical, and communication skills.
- Plan and implement a curriculum that fosters a love for literature and language.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to a dynamic and supportive school culture.
- Stay current with curriculum developments and best practices in English education.
Required Qualifications for an English Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong passion for English literature and language.
- Experience teaching English at the secondary level (ECTs are encouraged to apply).
- Ability to deliver engaging and innovative lessons that inspire students.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
