Full-Time Maths Teacher – Secondary School in Southampton, Hampshire
GSL Education are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive secondary school in Southampton, Hampshire. This full-time role is set to begin in September 2025. The school welcomes applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators.
Responsibilities of a Maths Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons that inspire a love for learning and numeracy.
- Plan and implement a curriculum that supports students of all abilities in achieving their academic goals.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, extracurricular activities, and events.
- Stay informed on current developments in Maths education and pedagogy.
Required Qualifications for a Maths Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong passion for Mathematics and student achievement.
- Experience teaching Maths at the secondary level (ECTs are encouraged to apply).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
