Full-Time Food Technology Teacher – Secondary School in Fareham, Hampshire
GSL Education are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled Food Technology (FT) Teacher to join a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Fareham, Hampshire. This full-time role is set to commence in September 2025.
We welcome applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators who are enthusiastic about inspiring students through the world of food, nutrition, and practical culinary skills.
Responsibilities of a Food Technology (FT) Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons to secondary school students.
- Plan and implement creative and curriculum-aligned lesson plans that promote healthy eating, food science, and cooking skills.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages creativity and participation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to a supportive and innovative school culture.
Required Qualifications and Skills for Food Technology (FT) Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong passion for teaching Food Technology and promoting healthy lifestyles.
- Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level (ECTs are encouraged to apply).
- Ability to design and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- A commitment to student well-being and academic success.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to working with staff and students.
- An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
