Key Stage 2 Teacher
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £150 – £230 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

About the Role:

As a Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that cover a broad and balanced curriculum for Year 3 to Year 6 pupils. You will help pupils develop strong academic foundations, foster independence, and prepare for their transition to secondary education. Your role will also involve effective classroom management, assessment, and working closely with colleagues and families.

Main Responsibilities of KS2 Teacher:

  • Teach a full Key Stage 2 curriculum tailored to the needs of the class
  • Use a range of strategies to monitor and support pupil progress
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning
  • Provide engaging and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment
  • Work in partnership with support staff, colleagues, and parents
  • Prepare pupils for national assessments with confidence and support
  • Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and school events
  • Maintain up-to-date records and contribute to pupil reports

KS2 Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification is essential
  • Recent experience teaching in a Key Stage 2 setting
  • Strong subject knowledge across the KS2 curriculum, including SATs preparation
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities
  • Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
