Teaching Assistant – Opportunity

GSL Education is working in partnership with a welcoming school in Winchester, seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with a range of complex needs. This rewarding opportunity starts in September and offers invaluable classroom experience ahead of potential teacher training.
It offers hands-on experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and contributing to classroom activities across a supportive school environment.

- Role: Teaching Assistant
- Location: Special School in Winchester
- Start Date: September 2025
- Pay: £82.80 to £100 per day
Teaching Assistants' Role Will Include:
- Providing 1:1 support for SEN pupils with EHCPs
- Supporting children with learning difficulties, including ADHD, SEMH and ASC.
- Assisting small groups within the classroom
- Supporting teachers with general classroom responsibilities
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
We're Looking For:
- Ideally, have some experience working with children or young people
- Have experience or a passion for working with children with SEN
- Are passionate about helping all learners achieve their full potential
- Communicate clearly and build strong relationships with staff and students
