We’re currently seeking a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs at a special school located in Basingstoke. This school is passionate about providing every child with the support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Deliver tailored support for a pupil with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, both in and outside the classroom.
- Assist with learning tasks, transitions, and playtime supervision.
- Support the class teacher in implementing inclusive strategies.
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment.
What We’re Looking for in a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Has relevant experience working in a school setting.
- Passion for working with children with SEN.
- Understands how to support children with communication and interaction challenges.
- Uses a range of communication strategies with patience and empathy.
- Is genuinely passionate about creating an inclusive and encouraging school experience for all pupils.

- Location: Basingstoke
- School Type: Special Educational Needs (SEN) School
- Salary: Contract: £82.80 to £100 per day
- Start Date: ASAP/ September 2025
