Art Teacher – Inspire Creativity and Expression

About the Role:
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students through a range of media and artistic techniques. You’ll help students explore their creativity, build technical skills, and develop a deeper understanding of visual art and design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, high-quality Art lessons that motivate and challenge students
  • Support students in developing their portfolios, particularly at GCSE level
  • Encourage self-expression and critical thinking through a broad curriculum
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters artistic growth
  • Organise displays, exhibitions, or contributions to school events where students can showcase their work
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider creative life of the school

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be a qualified teacher with a specialism in Art or a related field
  • Have experience teaching Art in a secondary school setting (KS3–KS4)
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for visual arts
  • Be creative, organised, and committed to delivering inclusive, engaging lessons
  • Bring energy and enthusiasm to the classroom and wider school community
