Salary: £90 to £110 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role

As a Primary Classroom Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the class teacher and helping pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You’ll be working in a vibrant and welcoming environment where every day brings new opportunities to inspire and support young minds.

Key Responsibilities of a Primary Classroom Assistant

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils who need extra help.
  • Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Encourage pupil participation and enthusiasm for learning.

Requirements for Primary Classroom Assistant

  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff.
  • A genuine passion for education and child development.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education (desirable but not essential).

To work with GSL Education as a Primary Classroom Assistant, you will need:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
