Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (Primary TA)
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £86-£100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day/Long-Term; Full-Time/Part-Time

GSL Education are recruiting for a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic primary school in Rotherham. You will assist class teachers in delivering the curriculum and promote positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom.

Primary TA Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering planned lessons and activities that meet the needs of all students.
- Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages good behaviour and engagement.
- Prepare and organise classroom resources to support effective teaching and learning.
- Monitor students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers to help inform future planning.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.
Requirements for Primary TA:
- Experience working with primary-aged children as a Primary Teaching Assistant or similar is preferred.
- CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or childcare
- A good understanding of the needs of children in Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
- Basic knowledge of the national curriculum and how to assist with lesson delivery.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.

- Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
