Salary: £83 - £100 per day

We are currently seeking a Psychology Graduate to work at a Client School for children with a range of Special Needs and Disabilities in York, North Yorkshire, starting in September 2025.

Psychology Graduate Requirements:
- A degree in Psychology (or a closely related subject).
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education, SEN support, or child/adolescent mental health.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children.
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable (e.g. in schools, youth work, or care settings).
Psychology Graduate Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated support to SEMH students with additional needs such as mental health challenges, behavioural difficulties, and autism.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored interventions and differentiated activities.
- Use your understanding of psychological theories to help inform your support strategies..
- Establish strong, positive relationships with students through 1:1 and small group support.
- Manage behaviour in alignment with the school's policies and ethos.
