Primary Mainstream Supply Teacher – Dorset

Responsibilities:
- Step into the classroom to lead well-prepared lessons in place of the regular teacher.
- Promote a calm and focused learning space by effectively managing student behaviour.
- Offer immediate academic and emotional support to pupils as needed.
- Oversee a mix of whole-class and small-group activities across a variety of subjects.
- Quickly adjust to new school settings and follow each school’s specific guidelines.
- Share observations and updates on pupil engagement and progress with school staff.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is a must.
- Experience across different key stages is advantageous.
- A flexible, professional, and positive approach to education.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively and confidently.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
