Learning Manager (Cover Supervisor)
Salary: £83 - £100 per day
Start Date: September 2025
Location: Malton, North Yorkshire
Contract Type: Full-Time
GSL Education’s North Yorkshire branch is currently recruiting for outstanding Learning Manager (Cover Supervisor) for our Client Secondary school in the Malton area,starting in September 2025.
As a Learning Manager (Cover Supervisor), you will supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work.
Learning Manager Requirements:
- A relevant qualification in education, youth work, or a related field is desirable. Experience and a passion for working with students are highly valued.
- Previous experience working in a school environment.
- Proven ability to manage and improve student behaviour, with experience in implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
- A genuine interest in the issues faced by students with SEN, and the ability to show empathy, patience, and understanding in supporting their needs.
- Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
Learning Manager Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons and manage classroom behaviour.
- Support students in completing work and encourage positive learning attitudes.
- Identify and address issues that may be impacting regular attendance.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and student engagement.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Uphold the school's safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
