Position: Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Hull
Salary: M1 to UPS3 (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are thrilled to present an incredible opportunity for an enthusiastic Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join our team in Hull. This is your chance to empower young people with the skills and confidence to turn their ideas into reality.

As a DT Teacher, you will lead well-planned lessons that help students learn new skills and think creatively. You will be part of a supportive team, working together to make sure all students feel valued and able to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated DT lessons for students.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
  • Organise and lead extracurricular activities and events related to design and technology.
  • Promote health and safety awareness in all practical activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives and student development.

Role Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology lesson is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide a 10-year career history with references covering the last two years.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
