‍ Teaching Assistant – Support, Inspire, Make a Difference
Location: Witham
Contract: Full time / long term
Start Date: Immediately / September 2025

Are you a caring, motivated individual with experience working with children in a school or similar setting? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in students’ learning and development.

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to support the learning, progress, and wellbeing of students. You will provide both one-to-one and small group support, assist in preparing classroom resources, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in class, particularly those who may need additional help
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons under teacher guidance
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive interactions
  • Support students with a range of needs, including those with SEND
  • Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning space

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience in a Teaching Assistant role or similar educational/support setting
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to working with young people
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility and a willingness to support the wider school as needed
  • A genuine interest in helping students succeed academically and personally
