Job Title: EYFS Teacher – Nursery & Reception
Location: Shoreham-By-Sea
Salary: £120 - £200 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education need a passionate and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher to lead learning for Nursery and Reception children at a warm and welcoming school in Shoreham-By-Sea. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference at the earliest stage of children’s education.
As an EYFS Teacher, you will create a nurturing, stimulating environment where children can explore, discover, and develop key skills across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and age-appropriate learning activities for nursery and reception children.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Foster children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents, and school staff to support each child’s unique needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and support children’s independence and confidence.
- Ensure compliance with EYFS statutory framework and safeguarding policies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Professional Status.
- Experience teaching within the EYFS framework, preferably Nursery and Reception.
- Strong knowledge of child development and early years pedagogy.
- Passionate, creative, and patient with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
