Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Falmer
Salary: £90 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you passionate about helping children succeed and grow in their learning journey? GSL Education are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to provide vital classroom support in a welcoming primary school based in Falmer.
As a Primary TA, you will assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils across the classroom. Your role will help create a positive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in planning and delivering learning activities.
- Assist individual pupils or small groups with their learning needs.
- Help maintain classroom order and promote positive behaviour.
- Prepare learning resources and assist with classroom organisation.
- Support pupils with additional needs as directed by the teacher.
- Encourage confidence, independence, and participation in all pupils.
- Monitor pupil progress and communicate observations to teaching staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a primary school or similar setting preferred.
- A friendly, patient, and approachable manner with children.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Flexible, reliable, and eager to learn.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
