EYFS Teaching Assistant – Nursery Class
Location: Pevensey
Salary: £90–£110 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA) to join a welcoming Nursery Class within schools in Pevensey. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping children build strong foundations for lifelong learning.
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant in the Nursery Class, you will work under the guidance of the class teacher to deliver engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will play a vital role in promoting a nurturing, stimulating, and secure setting for children aged 3 to 4.
Key Responsibilities of an EYFS Teaching Assistant – Nursery Class:
- Assist with the planning and delivery of age-appropriate learning experiences
- Support children with daily routines including play, snack time, and personal care
- Promote language development, social interaction, and independent learning
- Provide one-to-one or small group support where needed
- Observe and record children’s progress in line with EYFS standards
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organised classroom environment
- Contribute to classroom displays and preparation of learning materials
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) TA- Nursery Requirements:
- Experience working in a Nursery or Early Years classroom setting as an EYFS Teaching Assistant or similar
- A relevant childcare qualification such as CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework
- A kind, patient, and caring approach to working with young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for early childhood education
- Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply
