Salary: £140 – £190 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a passionate and creative Art Teacher looking for your next opportunity? GSL Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic Art Teacher to work in a secondary school in Sheffield from September 2025. This is an excellent chance to nurture young talent and foster a love of art and self-expression.
About the Role:
As an Art Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students of all abilities to explore various artistic techniques and develop their skills. You will encourage creative thinking, experimentation, and build students’ confidence in expressing themselves through different media.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and teach high-quality Art lessons aligned with the national curriculum

Inspire and motivate students to develop their artistic ability and visual literacy

Support pupils in preparing coursework and portfolios for GCSE assessment

Create a classroom environment that celebrates creativity and diversity

Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain high expectations

Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

Experience teaching Art in secondary schools (GCSE experience desirable)

Strong subject knowledge and passion for the arts

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

A 10-year career history with references covering the last two years, including your most recent role
