GSL Education is currently recruiting for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Brentwood starting September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role, offering the chance to make a real difference by supporting a child who requires tailored learning and emotional support.
This position is ideal for someone calm, nurturing, and eager to contribute to a child’s academic and personal development journey.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a child with SEN (such as autism, speech and language needs, or emotional/behavioural challenges)

Supporting learning both within the classroom and in smaller group or individual settings

Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised support strategies

Helping the child to develop confidence, independence, and social skills

Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment at all times
✅ What We’re Looking For:

Experience supporting children with SEN (in schools, care, or similar roles)

A positive, patient and adaptable attitude

Strong communication and teamwork skills

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

A real passion for inclusive education and child development
