Salary: £140 – £190 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a dedicated Computer Science Teacher with a passion for technology and innovation in the classroom? GSL Education is currently recruiting a committed and forward-thinking Computer Science Teacher to work in a secondary school in Sheffield, starting Easter 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to help students develop key digital skills and prepare for success in an increasingly tech-driven world.
About the Role:
As a Computer Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, preparing students for GCSE Computer Science exams. You’ll use practical programming, digital tools, and real-world examples to spark curiosity and ensure pupils gain the technical understanding and problem-solving skills essential for today’s digital age.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach Computer Science to pupils at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level

Plan creative and well-structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum

Foster an inclusive classroom where all students can thrive

Support learners of all abilities, using differentiated instruction

Monitor and assess progress, providing targeted feedback to support improvement

Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom engagement
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Specialism in Computer Science or strong experience teaching the subject

Experience teaching at secondary level, including GCSE (ECTs welcome to apply)

Sound subject knowledge and familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Scratch, etc.)

A proactive and tech-savvy teaching approach

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

A ten-year career history with references covering the past two years, including your most recent role
