GSL Education is seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chelmsford.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a child with SEN, adapting your approach to meet their unique learning needs

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCP targets and personalised strategies

  • Support the child in accessing the curriculum and developing independence

  • Promote social interaction and emotional well-being

  • Use positive behaviour management techniques to support engagement and focus

  • Maintain clear communication with staff and parents/carers regarding progress and needs

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (e.g., Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs)

  • A calm, resilient and empathetic approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for inclusive education

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Right to work in the UK
