Job Title: KS1 Teacher
Location: Newark
Salary: £130-£180 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a committed Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Newark. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing environment that values creativity, collaboration, and student success.

As a KS1 Teacher, you’ll play a vital role in guiding young learners through their early educational journey. You’ll work alongside a team of enthusiastic professionals to deliver engaging lessons that support both academic and personal development.

Role Overview:

  • Teach and plan lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stage 1, including English, Maths, Science, and Foundation subjects.
  • Use different teaching methods to meet the needs of all students, including those with additional learning needs.
  • Manage behaviour positively to create a safe and happy classroom.
  • Encourage children to be curious, confident, and eager to learn.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and parents to support students’ development.
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies to always ensure student safety.

Role Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience working with children in KS1 is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment expectations.
  • Strong classroom management skills with patience and understanding.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
