KS1 Teacher
Location: Grantham
Pay: £130 – £180 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are seeking a skilled KS1 Teacher to work in primary schools across Grantham, where a high standard of behaviour and consistency in the classroom are key to maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. Whether you're an experienced teacher or a motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT), this opportunity offers flexibility and the chance to make a real impact.
About the KS1 Teacher Role:
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to pupils aged 5–7, ensuring they are both challenged and supported throughout their early learning journey. With strong behaviour management strategies, you will guide your pupils in developing academic and social skills in a calm, well-structured classroom.
To be a successful KS1 Teacher, what you have to do:
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in accordance with the KS1 curriculum
- Set high expectations for pupil behaviour and consistently enforce clear rules
- Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment
- Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to tailor learning to individual needs
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and support
- Maintain open communication with parents and carers
- Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive school ethos
Key Stage 1 Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Recent experience teaching in a UK KS1 setting
- Strong behaviour management and classroom control skills
- Excellent communication and organisation
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
