EYFS Teacher
Location: Gainsborough
Salary: £130 – £180 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

Are you a nurturing yet assertive Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher with excellent behaviour management skills?

GSL Education are looking for a confident and committed EYFS Teacher to work in schools across Gainsborough. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner or ECT with a strong ability to guide behaviour positively while delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons.

As an EYFS Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment where children feel safe, secure, and ready to learn. The role requires someone who can build early literacy, numeracy, and social skills while managing behaviour constructively and consistently. You may be working on a day-to-day supply basis or in a long-term role depending on your preference and the needs of the school.

What an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher needs to do:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support the Early Years curriculum
  • Set clear expectations for behaviour and promote positive reinforcement strategies
  • Create a caring and well-organised classroom that encourages curiosity and independence
  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and wider staff to ensure a consistent approach
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and health & safety guidelines at all times

EYFS Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or EYFS specialist qualification
  • Previous experience teaching in an EYFS setting within UK preschools and primary schools
  • Proven ability to implement strong behaviour management strategies
  • A creative and caring teaching approach with attention to early childhood development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to obtain one
