KS1 Teacher
Location: Gainsborough
Salary: £130 – £180 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and resilient KS1 Teacher to work in friendly and well-established primary schools in Gainsborough. This role is perfect for professionals who can inspire, motivate, and maintain a calm, structured classroom environment where pupils feel safe and ready to learn.
As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, creative lessons to pupils aged 5 to 7. You will play a vital role in ensuring consistent learning and emotional support while managing classroom behaviour firmly and fairly in line with school policies.

Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that meet the national curriculum to Year 1 & Year 2 groups
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning
- Manage pupil behaviour confidently and consistently, setting clear expectations
- Assess, record, and report on pupil development and progress
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to support learning
- Uphold school values and maintain safeguarding responsibilities at all times
- Foster resilience and independence in young learners through high expectations and care
Requirements for KS1 Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
- Recent teaching experience in KS1 within a UK primary school
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
- A nurturing and adaptable teaching style
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply
