English Teacher – Inspire a Love of Language and Literature
Location: Colchester, Essex
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time | Long-Term
Salary: £130 - £250 per day

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher looking for your next opportunity? GSL Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a fantastic secondary school in Colchester seeking a talented teacher to join their English department.

This is a brilliant chance to help students develop critical thinking, creativity, and confidence through the power of reading, writing, and communication.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 may be available for suitable candidates)
  • Inspire students to appreciate literature and express themselves effectively
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners
  • Mark, assess, and monitor progress in line with school policies
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive department

✅ Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Experience teaching in UK secondary schools (ECTs welcome to apply)
