Full-Time Teaching Assistant – Year 4 Class, Primary School in Poole

Are you passionate about supporting children in their learning journey and eager to make a meaningful impact in a primary school setting?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive Year 4 class at a vibrant primary school in Poole. This rewarding opportunity offers a daily pay rate of £90 and is available to start from September 2025.

Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (TA):

  • Work closely with the class teacher to support pupils in their daily learning activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to help children reach their full potential.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Support pupils’ academic progress and emotional wellbeing with care and consistency.
  • Participate in school events, training sessions, and staff meetings as a valued member of the school community.

Requirements of the Teaching Assistant (TA):

  • Experience working with children, either in a school or alternative setting (e.g., youth work, childcare, sports coaching).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach to supporting young learners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
