Exciting Opportunity: Full-Time 1:1 Teaching Assistant in Bournemouth, Dorset!

GSL Education are seeking a caring and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bournemouth. This is a full-time role starting in September 2025, offering a daily pay rate of £90. If you have experience working with children with Autism or SEN—whether in a school or another setting—this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

About the Role

This rewarding position involves working closely with a primary-aged pupil on the Autistic Spectrum, providing consistent 1:1 support to help them thrive both academically and emotionally.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA), your responsibilities will include:

  • Personalised Support: Deliver tailored assistance to meet the pupil’s individual needs.
  • Classroom Collaboration: Work alongside the class teacher to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Building Trust: Develop a strong, positive relationship with the pupil to encourage engagement and confidence.
  • Adaptability: Respond to the pupil’s changing needs with patience and creativity.
  • Ongoing Development: Access training and guidance through GSL Education to enhance your SEN support skills.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experienced with SEN: You’ve worked with children with Autism or other special needs, either in a school or care-based setting.
  • Empathetic and Patient: You understand the importance of emotional support and consistency.
  • Reliable and Professional: You’re punctual, dependable, and committed to helping children succeed.
  • Open to Growth: You’re eager to learn and develop your skills in a supportive environment.
