Job Title: ECT Primary Teacher
Location: Rotherham
Pay Rate: £150 to £230 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role:

As an ECT Primary Teacher, you will be supported in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum. You’ll work alongside experienced educators and benefit from a nurturing environment that values professional development and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities of the ECT Primary Teacher:

  • Deliver creative and high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to support all learners.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Work closely with colleagues and mentors to enhance your teaching practice.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour and a love for learning.

ECT Primary Teacher Requirements:

  • A degree in Primary Education or a related field, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A genuine passion for teaching and a desire to grow professionally.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • A reflective approach to teaching and a willingness to learn.
  • An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
