Full-Time Humanities Teacher in Basingstoke, Hampshire!
Are you passionate about inspiring young minds through the study of History, Geography, and Religious Studies?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Humanities Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Basingstoke. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, with a September 2025 start date. The school is open to both Early Careers Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators, with the potential for a permanent contract following a successful probation period.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Humanities lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
- Plan and implement a well-structured curriculum that caters to a diverse range of learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Participate in school events, parent evenings, and ongoing professional development.
- Uphold high standards of behaviour and contribute to students’ personal development.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and school policies at all times.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Humanities.
- Experience teaching Humanities at Key Stage 3 and 4 (ECTs are encouraged to apply).
- Excellent communication, planning, and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to inspiring and supporting students of all abilities.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
