Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
GSL Education are looking for dedicated individuals to work as SEN Teaching Assistants in schools across Basingstoke. This is a great chance to support children with special educational needs and help them learn and grow.
As a Special Education Needs TA, you will work with children who have different needs, helping them learn, grow, and shine in their own way. You’ll play a key role in creating a positive and inclusive environment where every children feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to the individual needs of students with SEN.
- Observe, monitor, and report on student progress and well-being to inform teaching and intervention plans.
- Encourage children to be confident, independent, and included in all school activities
- Carry out individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans made by teachers and SEN coordinators.
- Monitor and record student progress and well-being, and provide regular feedback to teachers.
SEN TA Requirements:
- Proven experience of working with children and young people with Special Education Needs (SEN) is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with the SEN Code of Practice is a plus.
- An Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
