Job Title: Attendance Officer
Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £100 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated Attendance Officer to join a dynamic secondary school in Chesterfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and experience working in education or pastoral roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily student attendance and follow up on absences.
- Carry out home visits when necessary to support families and encourage school attendance.
- Maintain accurate attendance records in line with school and safeguarding policies.
- Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies to address attendance concerns.
- Produce reports and support data analysis to identify attendance trends.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role or within an education setting.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Proficient in using school management systems or similar databases.
- Possess a patient, empathetic and proactive approach to working with children.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
