Position: Year 1 Class Teacher
Location: Canvey Island
Salary: £125 - £240 per day (£24,375 - £46,800), depending on experience and qualifications!
Contract Type: Full-time (part-time considered)
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if available)
Your Role Will Include:
- Delivering Creative Lessons: As a Year 1 Class Teacher, design and teach engaging lessons that align with the KS1 curriculum and encourage active learning.
- Supporting Individual Progress: Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all pupils, ensuring every child is supported and challenged.
- Fostering a Positive Classroom: As a Year 1 Class Teacher, build a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident and motivated.
- Monitoring Development: Use a range of assessment tools to track progress and inform your teaching approach.
- Collaborating with Staff: Work closely with colleagues to plan lessons, share ideas, and contribute to whole-school initiatives as a Year 1 Class Teacher.
- Building Strong Home-School Links: Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support student learning and development.
What We’re Looking For:
- Have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in Key Stage 1
- A strong grasp of the KS1 curriculum and assessment methods
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A creative, reflective, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
- A team player who contributes positively to the school community
