Teacher of English
Location: York, North Yorkshire

Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Contract Type: Full Time
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join a Client Secondary School in York, North Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated educator to deliver high-quality English Literature and Language lessons, starting in September 2025.

Teacher of English responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging English Literature and Language lessons.
- Promote a love of reading, writing, and effective communication within a creative and inclusive classroom setting.
- Promote high standards of achievement through effective classroom management.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the English department.
- Uphold high expectations for behaviour, learning, and academic success.
Teacher of English Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a Degree in English.
- A proven ability to motivate and challenge students.
- Strong classroom management skills and a passion for education.
- Have a proven track record of improving attainment levels at GCSE for English Literature and Language.
- Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS, registered on the update service, or be willing to obtain one through GSL Education.
