Job Title: SEN Classroom Support Assistant 
Location: Bexhill
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEN Classroom Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Bexhill. This long-term opportunity is ideal for someone who’s passionate about inclusive education and is eager to support pupils with additional learning needs in a warm, structured environment.

About the Role:

You’ll be working in a classroom setting, offering both 1:1 and group support to students with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. You'll be part of a collaborative team, helping to create a calm and positive learning space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the teacher in delivering tailored lessons to meet pupils’ individual needs

  • Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation

  • Promote independence and build confidence in pupils

  • Use visual aids and communication strategies where needed

  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment where every child feels supported

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN

  • A patient, empathetic and adaptable attitude

  • Good communication and the ability to work well in a team

  • A commitment to the wellbeing and progress of every pupil

  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
