Supply Teacher – Southampton, Hampshire
Are you a confident, qualified teacher looking for flexible work in local schools?
GSL Education are welcoming applications for a dynamic Supply Teacher to work across schools in Southampton. Starting ASAP, this exciting role offers a competitive daily rate of £120 to £150, depending on experience. Whether you're seeking day-to-day flexibility or longer-term placements, we can tailor your schedule around your availability – up to five days a week if needed. Temporary long-term placements are also available when covering teachers on long-term sick leave, operation cover, or general gaps in teaching staff.
As a Supply Teacher, your responsibilities will be:
- Lead a classroom, delivering pre-set lessons and managing behaviour effectively
- Ensure students stay on task and complete the work left by the class teacher
- Uphold school policies and provide a calm, consistent learning environment
- Adapt quickly to different classrooms, year groups, and subjects as required
- Report student progress and concerns to the appropriate school staff
Requirements for Supply Teacher:
- Must be a Fully Qualified Teacher with UK QTS
- Previous experience working as a Supply Teacher across the UK schools.
- Strong classroom management and a professional presence
- A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching in new environments
- Passionate about education and able to engage students of varying abilities
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one
