Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Brighton 
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

GSL Education are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to support a fantastic Special Needs School in Brighton. Whether you’ve worked in education before or come from a care background, your skills could be just what our schools need.

About the Role:
You’ll be working in a classroom supporting students with a range of additional needs. This might include communication difficulties, learning challenges, or emotional and behavioural needs. Some pupils may need help with personal care. You’ll help create a positive and safe environment where students feel included and supported.

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in care roles such as:

  • Support Worker

  • Youth Worker

  • Healthcare Assistant

  • Residential Care Worker

  • Mental Health Support roles

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent classroom support and adapt to individual learning needs

  • Assist with communication, focus, and emotional regulation

  • Support pupils during lessons, breaks, and transitions

  • Build strong relationships with students and staff

  • Offer personal care support if required

Job Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or young people in education, care, or similar settings

  • Calm, positive, and resilient approach

  • Willingness to learn and work flexibly across different school environments

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willing to apply)

  • A full and updated CV
