Location: Maidstone, Kent
Salary: £120 – £250 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: 28 August 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time

The role:
As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across the relevant key stages. You will foster critical thinking and a love for history through creative planning and dynamic teaching strategies. Your role will involve tracking student progress, developing curriculum-aligned resources, and encouraging historical enquiry in the classroom. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to department goals and school initiatives, maintain high expectations for pupil behaviour and achievement, and support students in their academic and personal development both in and outside the classroom.
Teacher of History Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- A degree in History or a related humanities field.
- Experience teaching History in a school setting is desirable.
- A commitment to fostering curiosity and academic excellence.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps)
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one.
