Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Waterlooville
Salary: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
GSL Education are seeking an engaged and responsible SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Waterlooville.
Help children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to learn and grow. You will work with teachers to change lessons and help children one by one. Your job will be to help students become more independent, build their confidence, and support their learning and social skills.
What You Will Do:
- Give extra learning support to students with SEN.
- Help teachers change lessons for individual student needs.
- Help students with their feelings and getting along with others.
- Make a friendly and welcoming classroom.
- Help keep the classroom organised and encourage good behaviour.
- Write down and share how students are doing with teachers.
What’s Needed for This Role
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in school settings is desirable.
- A strong desire to help students learn and do well.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to change how you help, depending on what the student needs.
- A CV covering the last ten years (with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
