Teaching Assistant
Location: Eastleigh
Salary: £13.68 – £14.88 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will provide valuable support to teachers and students, creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive.

What we need from a Teaching Assistant (TA):

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students.
  • Assist with classroom setup, lesson delivery, and behaviour management.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate observations to staff.
  • Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.

Teaching Assistant Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with children or young people in schools or care settings as a Teaching Assistant or similar.
  • CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistance or Childcare is desirable.
  • Students or graduates in Education, Psychology, or related fields are welcome to apply.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, patient attitude.
  • Ability to support pupils of varying abilities and needs.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
