Teaching Assistant
Location: Fareham
Salary: £13.68 – £14.88 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are currently recruiting motivated and caring Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of schools in Fareham. As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you’ll provide essential classroom support, working closely with teachers and pupils to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Your Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Support students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
- Assist in delivering lessons and classroom activities under teacher guidance.
- Promote positive behaviour and support students’ social and emotional well-being.
- Maintain an inclusive and encouraging learning space.
- Monitor and report pupil progress to teaching staff and other professionals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure students thrive.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children or young people in school or care environments as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or similar.
- CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is desirable.
- Degree or studies in Education, Psychology, or a related field are welcomed.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both pupils and staff.
- A valid Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or a willingness to apply for one.
