Teaching Assistant
Location: Winchester
Salary: £13.68 – £14.88 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are currently looking for compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants (TA) to work in a range of schools across Winchester.
The role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll provide essential support to both students and teachers, playing a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive classroom experience. This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking either short-term flexibility or long-term consistency in their educational career.
Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
- Support students in one-to-one and small group settings.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
- Encourage student engagement and support their emotional and academic development.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Record and report student progress and behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies.
TA Requirements:
- CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is desirable.
- Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or childcare environment as a Teaching Assistant or similar.
- University students or graduates in Education, Psychology, or related fields are welcome to apply.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, adaptable attitude.
- A genuine interest in helping learners of all abilities succeed.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to apply for one.
