Behaviour Mentor
Location: Wakefield
Salary: £86 – £100 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

This is an ideal opportunity for someone experienced in behaviour support, youth work, or SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) settings who is ready to make a lasting impact.
Your Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:
- Providing 1:1 or small group support to students with behavioural or emotional needs.
- Assisting with managing challenging behaviour and promoting positive strategies.
- Supporting students' emotional regulation, self-esteem, and engagement in learning.
- Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
- Helping create a safe, respectful, and supportive school environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people with SEMH, behavioural challenges, or in similar support roles.
- Team Teach training (preferred).
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and consistent under pressure.
- A proactive and resilient attitude with a passion for student well-being.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
