SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH School – Havant)

Salary Scale: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour

Start Date: ASAP

A specialist SEMH school for boys aged 11 to 16 in Havant is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their highly motivated and dynamic team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support secondary-age students within a trauma-informed, therapeutic setting where every staff member plays a vital role in helping students overcome social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum, helping to engage students with a variety of complex needs, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Conditions, and Dyslexia. You will assist in planning and delivering tailored learning activities, promote positive behaviour, and help students achieve their individual goals. Many pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and you’ll play a key part in supporting their personal and academic progress.

  • Has experience working with children with SEMH or SEND needs (desirable but not essential)
