Job Title: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant for Autism
Location: Seaford
Pay: £90 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate /September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a gentle and understanding 1:1 Learning Support Assistant for Autism at a warm and inclusive school in Seaford. We have both part-time and full-time options available, and the role can be short-term or long-term.

As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for Autism, your job is to support one student with autism during the school day. Your support will make school a more positive and enjoyable place for the student.

What You Will Do:

  • Work one-to-one with a student who has autism, supporting their needs throughout the day.
  • Help the student understand instructions and complete tasks at their own pace.
  • Support their emotional well-being and encourage positive behaviour.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to follow the student’s support plan.
  • Use calm and simple communication to help the student feel understood and safe.
  • Assist with movement around the school if needed, and support during breaks.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with autism or additional needs is an advantage.
  • A good listener who can follow instructions and adapt to different situations.
  • Positive attitude and a real desire to help young children learn and grow.
  • A CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
