An exciting opportunity awaits an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join a thriving and inclusive secondary school in the heart of Islington. This full-time, long-term position, starting in September 2025, is ideal for a Music Teacher who is passionate about creative expression and delivering an inspiring, well-rounded music education to students across key stages.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach engaging and imaginative Music lessons across KS3 to KS5 as a dedicated Music Teacher.

Create a dynamic curriculum that integrates theory, performance, and appreciation of a wide range of musical genres.

Lead extracurricular musical activities such as choirs, ensembles, and school productions.

Inspire creativity and confidence in students by encouraging individual musical expression.

Contribute to cross-curricular projects and whole-school events.

Establish high standards of behaviour, classroom organisation, and musical engagement.

Drive a love for music that aligns with the school's inclusive and ambitious ethos as a Music Teacher.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Music Teacher with QTS and a degree in Music or a closely related field.

Proven experience teaching Music in a UK secondary school setting, ideally including A-Level.

Sound understanding of curriculum development and student-centred teaching practices.

Commitment to fostering talent, creativity, and a love for music.

Excellent classroom management, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Willingness to actively contribute to school life beyond the classroom.

An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
